This tanks design was aimed at the idea to allow a tank to glide into a battlefield after being towed aloft by an airplane. Oleg Konstantinovich Antonov prepared the design in 1940 for the Soviet Union to fight against the German army.

This design features a Soviet T-60 light tank fitted with cheap wood and fabric wings. This amazing design was workable and the tank plane could glide into fields behind enemy lines and could release the tank at the desired location.

Sergei Anokin tested it and the design was successful technically, but the tank never came into mass production, as the T-60 tank could not be equipped with much armor in order to make it glide and was not a very effective tank that could withstand the heavy German tanks.
