Need we to say it’s ridiculous, that Europe’s largest defence company is working on “environmentally friendly” munitions, including lead-free bullets. Bullet has just one use, and having killed one life they would hassle about environment.
What is commendable is BAE Systems’ aims to design shells, which are less likely to explode by accident.
However, the Campaign Against Arms Trade has already mocked at the very statement issued on BAE’s website: “Lead used in ammunition can harm the environment and pose a risk to people.”
