Without doubt, you must have heard of in-flight refueling, which is quite a routine process in military operations; an Israeli company, Far Technologies, is working on in-flight rearming system, the Airborne Rearming System (ABRA) that will allow rearming of fighter planes even without landing the air jets, which might be quite exciting for you.
Initially the system might be put into operation on C-130, C-130c, C-17, and C-5 cargo. ABRA system will not only be a boon for manned operations, but for unmanned combat air vehicles (UCAVs) as well. The system is under the development process and may take some time to join the fighter jets.
However, the whole system appears rather fascinating; it would significantly boost the flexibility of air power operations a may destine future aerial combats.
