Metal Storm is a defense technology company that develops projectile launching systems utilizing its unique, electronically fired, stacked projectile technology.
This Australian company have made a pin less firing mechanism. The technology they use has an increased firepower to weight ratio resulting in a lighter weapon with more firepower compared to conventional weapons.

Metal Storm utilizes an electronic firing system, which allows projectiles to be stacked within the barrel. The projectiles are then fired sequentially out of the barrel. This allows for super fast projectile deployment - to the tune of 1 million rounds per minute, and that is an awesome piece of load for complete destruction. Metal Storm pushes the lack of moving, mechanical parts - because that means less points of failure. These systems can be put into handguns, remote standalone units, on drones, etc.
