World’s first floating power plant in isolated location of Arctic range! Russia is giving shape to this arrangement and stun the world with its floating nuclear plant that would provide power to remote areas. It will come in working mode in 2010.
Being strongly criticized by environmentalists, Russia has started it’s framework with building 144m (475ft) platforms for this project. Russia has been using nuclear technology to power submarines for a long-time.
Head of Russia’s Federal Atomic Power Agency, Sergei Kiriyenko said that Russia is expert in nuclear technology. “There will be no floating Chernobyl,” he added.
